Nancy Solwick

I live in Santa Rosa, California in the middle of the Wine Country with my husband, two grown sons, and two adorable Boston Terriers. I started beading about 18 months ago (6/12/2003) and fell instantly in love with beads & designing.

I developed a chronic pain condition, at the beginning of 2002 and could not work anymore, had limited physical ability and needed something to do during my good days. I discovered beading met my needs. At the time, it was just something to help pass the time, and then I discovered I was good at it and people wanted to buy and wear my creations. I quickly got hooked and can hardly stay away from either my beads or bead related websites (I think I'm addicted). In fact, I recently won a beaded jewelry design contest.

I had a website built this year and between the creative outlet/art therapy of beading, a lot of rest, the support of my wonderful family, and alternative therapies (acupuncture/massage/nutrition) I am on the mend. My future dreams include owning a bead shop where I would sell many different kinds of beads & jewelry, as well as my own creations/designs.

I am always searching for interesting and unique beads to add to my designs. Some of the beads used in my designs are imported Venetian beads, vintage beads, semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, gold filled & sterling silver. I stand by my creations and make every effort to sell only high quality handcrafted pieces.
